Abstract

1. This field experiment was carried out in order to investigate the effect on the terminal shoot growth when the plant complex nutrient Fertile Rei and urea were foliarly sprayed to two year old trees of Ralls and Golden Delicious.
2. The apple trees sprayed on May 22nd, 29th and June 5th, 1962 with a solution which concentration was 5 pounds of urea to 100 gallons of water significantly promoted in the terminal shoot growth comparable to control.
3. The terminal shoot growth of apple tree sprayed with urea three times succeedingly was significantly promoted compared to the trees sprayed with Fertile Rei three times succeedingly.
4. As the apple trees sprayed with Pertile Rei three times succeedingly are better than control in the terminal shoot growth, Fertile Rei is also effective but it can be concluded that Fertile Rei is inferior to the urea.
